菊地は2011年から2020年にかけて、戦前・戦中・戦後に地下流通したポルノ小説1冊分の文字列を、カナ1文字単位で徹底的にシャッフルし、その結果を点字へと変換しました。
その結果生成された点字用紙339ページ分の点字すべてをモノクロ印刷で収録した作品集。紙質にもこだわったミニマルでコンセプチュアルなアートピースとしての本。端書きは日英併記。限定100冊。
Between 2011 and 2020, Kikuchi meticulously deconstructed some old Japanese erotic novels, illegally distributed around World War II era, shuffling every minimum textual element. After that, he translated the entirety into Braille.
This book reproduces the Braille as black-and-white ‘printed’ figures spanning 339 pages. The consecutive figures of the Braille in the book can also represent an extreme form of concrete poetry.
This volume serves as a conceptual art object within the minimalist aesthetic. A brief preface is presented in both Japanese and English. Limited edition of 100 copies.
